Projects
During my job at the Place Based Learning Communities, my main task was being in charge of developing a 5 day-long training for the student staff working during the Welcome Week. As a part of that training, I created a large cardboard pizza as an activity for the trainees. This project was a way to receive feedback, and have our trainees ask questions anonymously and in an engaging way. There were five different topping shapes that we cut out, each correlating to a different prompt. The trainees chose at least one of these prompts at the end of each day and wrote their answer to it on the topping before adding it to the cardboard crust. This was inherently a very silly project, but it was fully supported by my bosses. I very much enjoyed that I was able to use my creativity to solve a problem
For my interdisciplinary studies capstone project, I made a large acrylic painting of a redwood forest with flaps on each organism it to reveal mini posters I created describing each organism and the interactions between them.
